The Connecticut Valley Volkssport Club
Will be hosting a 10 K (6.2 mile) St. Patrick's Day Walk
of the Middletown Volksmarch Trail.

The Walk ...
  1. ...is open to the public, free of charge, but we ask that participants sign into our log book.
  2. ...starts at Dunkin' Donuts, 152 Main Street, Portland.
  3. ...is a group walk, we will meet at 9am and begin the walk when everyone has signed in.
  4. ...crosses the Arrigoni Bridge to Middletown, and includes the Wesleyan Campus and Main Street.
  5. ...has a participation award (embroidered patch of O'Rourke's Diner) availble to participatns for six dollars.

  7. ...is not a fundraiser for the Diner.
(Due to limited parking at Dunkin' Donuts we ask that participants park at the back of the lot on the right. Participants are encourage to carpool.)

Disclaimer: The Connecticut Valley Volkssport Club (CVVC) AVA #784, is a non-profit organization,
and is a member of the American Volkssport Association,
this prevents us from collecting or contributing any funds to the O'Rourke's "Save the Diner" campaign.


Side Note: The CVVC has been hosting walks in Connecticut since 1993, and Portland/Middletown trails since 1994,
O'Rourke's Diner was chosen as the subject for the walk award before the tragic fire which closed the Diner on August 31, 2006.
